You’ll find the most beautiful views near the Hotel Boulderado at Lost Gulch Overlook and at Chautauqua Park. Be sure you work this location into your wedding timeline with plenty of time to drive up to this lookout. The drive takes an average of twenty minutes- one way. We highly recommend carpooling with a four-wheel drive vehicle because your wedding photographer will have your photography permit. Small wedding parties are easiest!

Lost Gulch faces west toward the Continental Divide, making it a fantastic location to showcase your beautiful Colorado surroundings. You won't likely ever have the overlook to yourself since it is also the busiest overlook in the area, so build plenty of time into your wedding timeline.

Boulder's Lost Gulch Overlook is found at 4300 Flagstaff Road. There is a twisty mountain road up there that has tight turns and slow speed limits. Please drive carefully as it is a well-traveled route for bikers and several local hiking trails cross it at various points. Wildlife frequently cross the road- we won’t have time to add a fender bender into the timeline!

Have a chat with your wedding party about shoe-ware! Pack a to go back with water, touch up car items and a comfortable pair of shoes to climb up sharp boulders from the parking lot. The journey is short from the parking lot to Lost Gulch Overlook, but we’ll be working around other guests. Use those twenty minutes to relax with your partner. You won’t have much quiet time for the rest of your wedding day!
