Here are the most common questions couples ask as they plan their Colorado wedding and consider what kind of coverage they need.

  • A lot of posing is reading the room and making you feel comfortable. I’ll guide you while still keeping your energy and body shapes in mind. I want you to look and FEEL like yourselves. We work fast so you can spend time partying instead of in a photoshoot.

  • Yes. I help guide you in planning your wedding timeline, how long parts of the day will take and how to write your family shot list- keeping sunset in mind and your location in mind. If you have a wedding planner or a day of coordinator through your venue, they will likely write your timeline and communicate with me directly to approve or adjust it.

  • You’ll get a sneak peek pretty quickly after the wedding, but your full gallery will be delivered to you digitally about 8-10 weeks after your wedding day.

  • Yes, I take the time to retouch your photos- skin, distracting items etc. I want everything to look true to life and natural so no one would know looking at the image that I’ve enhanced it, but you’ll feel amazing.

  • You’ll receive a link to your online photo galleries you can easily download from. It will include Small Jpegs to post online and Large Jpegs to print any size from. I also like to add a gallery of just the printable family photos so you can easily share them with family without digging through hundreds of photos to find them.

  • Yes, I offer custom made wedding books as an add on to your package when requested. You can also make your own book with your jpegs if you choose to design one yourself.

  • I shoot on two cameras, both with two memory cards inside of them. If everything spontaneously started on fire at the same time, I would reach out to my photography community to rescue me.

  • If it was unsafe for me to be around you and your guests on your wedding day, I would hire a trusted colleague who also owns their own wedding photography business to take photos, and then I would then still edit the images myself. It hasn’t happened yet in 12 years, but if it does, I have a trusted community to pull from.

  • My packages are based on an hourly rate and that rate does not change. If at the end of the night you ask me to stay another hour, we just add an extra hour at that same rate.

  • Good question. The name came from a combination of a photography mentor’s middle name and my middle name, Marie. I liked how it felt balanced- both masculine and feminine. Also it rhymes, so there’s that.

I’m Heather, and my job is to make sure my clients don’t look awkward, they feel comfortable fast, and actually get to enjoy the day instead of in a photo session. I work calmly and efficiently inside a real wedding timeline, stepping in with clear direction when it helps (especially for family photos) and stepping back when the moment needs space.

My style is a balance of documentary coverage and light, confidence-building guidance- clients feel like themselves without feeling overly posed. I’m also intentionally efficient.

On the business side, I keep pricing simple with transparent hourly rates, and every wedding collection is designed around what matters most to the couple: priorities, budget, timeline, and logistics.
